Our Holiday Club has something for everyone. Whether your child enjoys art and crafts, games and challenges, sports, baking, themed days, parties, movie nights and much, much more there will be something to keep your child entertained during the School holidays. We are open to all children across York and beyond aged from 2-11 years old. We make sure that activities are age appropriate, varied and most importantly…fun!
For each Holiday Club we release a booking form and activity planner a few weeks in advance. This is to give you and your child an idea of what we will be up to each day. These activities can occasionally change as we love to follow the children’s interests each day and let them be a part of organising and creating activities. Examples of our recent Holiday Club planners can be found below.
We run Holiday Club every school holiday (except usually Christmas). We follow the term dates set by Dunnington Primary School. We usually run a Holiday Club on Dunnington’s teacher training days (except for the start of September when we are also closed for staff training and new term preparations). For children who have never attended Over the Rainbow before, or live in a different area of York, we completely understand that it can be a daunting time for some children. Please be reassured that our experienced staff team are always on hand to show them where everything is and to introduce them to the other children. We have some wonderful friendships that have developed over the years between children from different Schools and they often look forward to seeing each other at the next School holiday. We make sure that every child feels included, valued and supported, whether it is their first time with us or not.

The activities are a guide and do occasionally change depending on the interests of the children in on the day. We love to get some our ideas for activities from the children themselves and really value their input and opinions to make sure they get the most out of their day with us.
